Demanding Online Exams, 2nd Sem Students Staged Protest at Degree College Ganderbal
GANDERBAL 19 Aug 2021 (JKNL) :-
Second Semester students of Government Degree Collage Ganderbal protested outside the collage seeking roll back of the order by University authorities for conducting off line exams.
These students said that they are not ready to appear in exams as they have not completed the syllabus.
They said that collages remained closed due to pandemic and they were attending online classes that only for a single subject without completing the syllabus.
They also questioned that, since the pandemic is not over how can universities authorities conduct off line exams.
Taliba a 2nd sem student of GDC Ganderbal while talking to JK News Live told that our syllabus is pending yet as our college didn’t provide online classes for all subjects, but just only twice or thrice in whole session which is not sufficient to complete even a single unit from our syllabus.
Another 2nd semester student Zakira of GDC Ganderbal told JK News Live that when it was time to study in collage campus that time college put forwarded Covid-19 as issue to close education process , Now why doesn’t college value our lives why college is putting our lives in risk by conducting offline exams .
Students told JK NEWS LIVE that we haven’t completed syllabus as we get negligible number of online class . It was responsibility of university of Kashmir to check the completion of syllabus , but university failed to do so and without any notice came up with offline datesheets. Now our genuine and humble demand is to conduct exams in online mode so that both lives and career of students is protected.
Later SP Ganderbal and other officials reached on spot of protest and gave assurance to students and thus protest ended peacefully (JKNL)
